Every year, we gather with customers, neighbors, employees, family, and friends to celebrate the community that makes Bank of Bird-in-Hand so special.

Our annual community picnic is one of our favorite community banking events and our way of saying thank you for your continued support and friendship.

As one of the most anticipated Bank of Bird-in-Hand community events each year, the picnic brings together thousands of guests for an afternoon of great food, conversation, and connection.

Last year, we welcomed more than 3,400 attendees, and we look forward to seeing you again this year at our annual Bank of Bird-in-Hand community picnic!

Guests are welcome to arrive anytime during the event. There is no formal program, so come when it’s convenient and stay as long as you’d like!

Rain Date

In the event of inclement weather, the community picnic will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026. We make every effort to hold the event as scheduled.

Location & Parking

The Bird-in-Hand community picnic is held in the field across from our Bird-in-Hand branch. Please enter from Ronks Road and follow the posted signs and the guided parking attendants.

Accessibility

Handicap parking is available. Please note that this event is held outdoors; please be aware of uneven walking surfaces. Golf cart transportation to the picnic tent will also be provided for guests who need assistance walking from the parking area.

The meal is free for Bank of Bird-in-Hand customers as a thank you for your support throughout the year! Enjoy complimentary picnic favorites, including:

RSVP Information

If you did not receive an invitation in the mail, we’d still love to hear from you!

Invitations can be mailed upon request, picked up at your nearest branch, or you can simply let our team know you plan to attend.

To RSVP for the community picnic, you may:

• Mail your RSVP card (please include postage).
• Drop off your RSVP at any Bank of Bird-in-Hand branch.
• Submit a response through the Contact Us form on our website.

If needed, our marketing team can also verify whether your RSVP has been received.

Guest Guidelines

The Bank of Bird-in-Hand community picnic is intended for accountholders age 18 and older. Each accountholder may bring one guest to the event.

For business and organization accounts, attendance is limited to the account holder or authorized signer plus one guest.

To help ensure a comfortable experience for all guests, only service dogs are permitted at the picnic.

Please note that photography and drone footage will be captured during the event for future Bank of Bird-in-Hand marketing and promotional materials. We want all guests to feel comfortable, and our team will be respectful of anyone who prefers not to be photographed.

If you would rather not appear in photos or video, let a member of our staff know when you arrive.

Is there a cost to attend?

No, the picnic meal is complimentary for Bank of Bird-in-Hand customers!

Are there any formal programs or speeches?

No formal program is planned. The picnic is simply an opportunity to enjoy good food and camaraderie with friends and neighbors!

Can I get carry-out or drive-through meals?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate carry-out, to-go, or drive-through meals, and outside containers are not permitted.

Will there be first aid available?

Yes, Pequea Valley EMS will be on-site throughout the event.

Are restrooms available?

Yes, portable restrooms will be available on-site.

Will the Gelt Bus be there?

Yes! A Gelt Bus will be at the picnic for tours and exploration. Please note that deposits and banking transactions cannot be completed on the bus during the event.
